Nikon members of the Worldwide Squirrel Shooters Association meet here: everyone is welcome.Įnjoy the lens - it is a classic, and it has not yet been surpassed by any zoom in the Nikon (or any other) line.īTW does anyone have sample of photos taken with D200 and AF Zoom-NIKKOR 80-200mm f/2.8D ED? Here's another shot - cropped from the full image: Take a look, and you might be able to make something like this: Here's a squirrel shot, taken with the lens and the D200: You can use a shooter's support to steady the camera and lens - check out any of the outdoor or hunting websites - far cheaper and faster to work with than the Kirk adapter. I have used the push-pull version of the AF Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 ED lens for many years, on a range of cameras from the F4S to the D200. I own a canon camera and few canon lenses. if I set it under 1/200th, the Image is a little bit blurry (without tripod). and you were right about the shutter speed. I ended up buying the D200 so I can use this lens. I have a friend who is a pro sports shooter and he uses that lens allt he time, and hates image stabilization. I'm looking for a tripod bracket to lessen the strain on the lens mount of the camera.Īnyone got an idea. You need a very steady hand at speeds slower than 200sec if you don't use a tripod. Great friend by the way, where can I get me one of those?!?!?!Ĭool, now you got a 120 - 300 2.8 zoom, I ahve one it works great.īeen using the push pull version of this lens on a number of different bodies for the last 20 years.
